A word to couples planning a wedding:
Your wedding is clearly one of the most important days of your life. At this ceremony you are publicly declaring your love for each other and your intention to be together for life.
While you may be caught up in the hundreds of details of this event, the centerpiece of the celebration is the ceremony. You want it to capture your love, your journey, your need for support, and your spirituality. Many couples choose to include a blessing from their Jewish, Christian, or other faith tradition.
If you are seeking a meaningful and transformative ceremony, anticipate approximately thirty minutes for the ritual. It may include one or two readings, some appropriate music, and vows that are carefully crafted to express your commitment. It is also important to find creative ways to include your family and guests.
I would be honored to be the officiant at your wedding and assist you in preparing for this special day. I have officiated at fifty weddings and have a wealth of ideas that you might want to include in your ceremony.
Expect to spend time meeting with me in preparation for this ritual. You probably want to avoid the last minute so an early conversation is advisable. You may have some personal work to do in preparation - ideas and words that can be included in the ceremony.
If you live miles from where your ceremony will take place, we can easily meet once in person and then complete the preparations by phone and/or by email.
